Many of our competitors supply barn door tracks in 8 foot maximum lengths for shipping purposes. While this saves in shipping costs, it creates a seam in the track, which can sometimes affect the rolling quality of the door. We prefer to fabricate our track in a single piece (up to a maximum of 20 feet). In addition to having a seam in the track, some of our competitors pre-drill the track for mounting. While this is great for a new construction, where a header beam can be installed for support, it creates a problem for existing walls. This often results in opening the drywall to install the necessary lumber and can greatly add to the cost of a barn door. Instead, we drill the track to utilize the existing lumber in your wall, saving you both time and money.
